T20: New Zealand batsman stormy game, rooted in 46 ball

 New Zealand made a 2-0 winning lead in the three-match series by defeating the West Indies by 72 runs in the second T20 international cricket match on Sunday, thanks to Glenn phillips' record century in 46 balls.


New Zealand defeated West Indies by 72 runs in the second T20 International Cricket match at mount maunganui on Sunday to take a 2-0 winning lead in Three-Match series. Thanks to Glenn Phillips' century in 46 balls, the Kiwis won the excellent victory. Phillips scored the fastet century for New Zeland during the inning of 108 runs in 51 balls.

Earlier, New Zealand record of the fastest century in t20 international was in the name of Colin Munro, who scored a century in 47 balls against the West Indies in 2018 at the same ground.

Talking about the overall record, the world record for fastest century in T20 International is jointly by David Miller (South Africa-2017), Rohit Sharma (India-2017) and Sudesh Vikramasekara (Czech Republic-2019). All three had scored a century in 35-35 balls.

In addition to hitting 8 sixes and 10 fours in his innings, Phillips shared a 184 run partnership for the third wicket with Devon Convoy (65 not out from 37 balls), helping the New Zealand score 238 for three.

In responce to this, the West Indies team could score 166 runs for 9 wickets. The New Zealand team, who cam out to bat after losing the toss, scored 53 runs for 2 wickets in the first 7 over. Phillips and Convoy then went on to bat together. The 23 years old Phillips showed his attitude with a six over Kieron Pollard on the final ball of the 10th over and then blasted the bowling attack of the opposing team with a rain of sixes and fours.

Phillips hit Fabin Allen for 3 sixes in the 13th over. Pollard sent him to the pavilion in the fifth ball of the 20th over. West Indies' T20 World Cup championship team never appeared in a position to score goals in response to this. Six batsman of the team reached double digits, but could not play any big innings.

Caption Pollard scored the top score of the team by scoring 28 runs in 15 balls. Kyle Jameson took 15 for New Zealand, while Mitchell Sentner took 2-2 wickets for 41 runs.
